Have a Go At Online Poker Games Whilst Stuffing Your Face With Food

People often tie in Las Vegas with excess and over the top stories, and it certainly seemed to be the case when we heard about Joey Chestnut! Joey it would seem hit the Vegas headlines recently due to his partaking in the first ever Martorano’s Masters Meatball Eating Championship. Yes, you did read that correctly, a meatball eating competition! Steve Martorano, the restaurant owner came up with the idea and explained that he was undecided on whether to have a cheese steak eating competition or a meatball eating competition. Apparently though they are pretty well known for their superb meatballs. During 2007 Gourmet magazine said they had the best meatballs.
The efforts of Joey Chestnut have actually broken the World Record for meatball consumption when he wolfed down 50 meatballs in ten minutes with a total weight of 6.25 lbs. The competition was held at the Rio All Suite Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas and was labelled as a Major League Eating-sanctioned contest. The competition prize wasn’t to be sniffed at either because the winner was set to take home $1500. Joey is quite an achiever in competitive eating contests, so the result wasn’t totally unexpected. In the past he has won contests where he has had to eat chicken, hotdogs and pizzas!
One rule of the competition was that they weren’t allowed to use their hands and had to use utensils! Joey Chestnut weighs a mighty 218lbs and stands at over six feet tall, so perhaps it was no surprise that he took first place, however coming a close second and missing out by only one meatball was Pat Bertolli. A surprising outsider took the third place in the form of Sonya Thomas who weighed in at a flyweight of just 105 pounds but managed to eat 42 meatballs. Possibly we have a future contender for winning the contest, or perhaps she was just pretty hungry after her poker table games!
Perhaps she could have a go at playing online poker at home. That way she could eat and play until her heart is content. Rakeback, Full Tilt Rakeback and Pokerstars Rakeback are all games she could sign up to. Of course if she ate and played at home for too long, I can’t see her weight staying at 105 pounds for very long!
